Innocence — Natural Diamond & Jewellery

Privacy Policy

How Innocence handles your personal information. This describes what the platform actually stores and who it is shared with. It is pending final legal review — contact us if anything here is unclear.

What we collect

Account details: your name, email address and mobile number, depending on how you sign in. If you sign in with a one-time code we store your mobile number; if you sign in with Google we store the account identifier Google gives us, plus the email and name on that Google account. Passwords, when you set one, are stored only as a bcrypt hash and are never readable by us. Shopping activity: your cart, wishlist, saved addresses, order history, appointment bookings, loyalty points and any savings-scheme enrolments or old-gold exchange records held in your name. In-store purchases: if you buy at a counter, the bill is linked to your customer record. Indian tax rules (Rule 114B) require us to record a PAN on bills of ₹2,00,000 and above, so for those purchases we hold that number. Support and marketing: notes and tags our staff add to your record, whether you have consented to marketing, and occasions such as a birthday or anniversary if you tell us.

What we do not collect

We do not store card numbers, CVVs or UPI PINs. Card and UPI payments are completed by the payment provider, and we keep only the provider's reference for the transaction and whether it succeeded. The app does not track your location in the background, does not read your contacts, and does not access your photos. Camera access is requested only inside the in-store point-of-sale app, and only to scan a product barcode at the counter — no image is stored or transmitted.

Why we hold it

To take and fulfil your orders, to price jewellery against the day's gold rate, to book and confirm appointments, to run loyalty and savings schemes you have joined, to meet tax and hallmarking obligations, and to answer you when you contact us. Where you have consented, to tell you about offers.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. It is shared only with the service providers needed to run the shop: a payment gateway to take payment, an SMS provider to send order updates and one-time login codes, a delivery partner to deliver your order, and Google if you choose to sign in with a Google account. Each receives only what that task needs. We also disclose information where the law requires it.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Marketing consent can be withdrawn at any time and stopping it does not affect order or appointment messages, which are part of the service you asked for. To make any of these requests, or to raise a complaint about how your data has been handled, contact us through the details on our Contact page.

Children

Innocence is intended for adults. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 18.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email to the address on your account.
